When you step into our front door - |
| |
| To the right you'll find a seasonal display - right now its summer - displayed on a Picket fence garden bench | |
| |
| Turning to the right - you'll find 2 Rooms. The first with brights and batiks, and the other with Baby themed prints and our awesome cat themed fabric selections. (You can see several of Anna's wool designs on the far wall.) | |
| |
| We love our batik FQ display - You can see all the colors and prints to help make your selection. | |
In the backroom find the baby things and cat themed prints -
A few of Deb's paper pieced minis can be seen on the wall above the crib. | |
| You'll find all sorts of cat fabric in this section - and a dozen or so doggie prints as well. | |
| Deb designed the quilt currently hanging in the cat section for a former shop hop. | |
| |
| More cat themed quilts can be found throughout the store | |
| |
| In April of this year, the shop expanded into what used to be the service bays of the 1940's Buick dealership. | |
| (Work began in January 2011 and we moved into the new section on April 1, 2011) | |
| |
| Building owner Karl Gillespie asked Deb to draw what she wanted in this new section, and of course Deb thought of her "dream classroom." The top of the walls in the classroom also turned out to be a great place to display a portion of her vintage toy sewing machine collection. | |
The new sections added 2300 sq. feet to the existing
1600. Giving plenty of room for the new classroom and more retail space. |
| Our classroom is always full of laughter and happy quilters. | |
This part of the retail section is Deb's favorite
because it houses her first love - Civil War Repro. |
| Our Shop Hop quilt for 2011 and "Ethel" dressed in period civil war dress | |
| Far right and Far left are 2 more of Deb's designs | |
| Cherokee Sunrise (L corner) and Flip Flopped 9 Patch (R in window) | |
| |
| Deb's Design, Gracie's Star, is named for a kitten abandoned behind the shop several years ago. (She now lives at home with Deb and her husband and 3 other happy kitties) This quilt is featured in the book "Carolina Comforts" being released July 8, 2011 by the shops of the Carolina Shop Hop. It hangs in the husband's waiting area of the shop. | |
| |
| More of Deb's Paper Pieced Minis can be found in the Civil War section as seen on the wall behind the headboard and around the corner. | |
