A love for quilts and a love for cats led to combining the two into an article for "Quilt" magazine entitled "Everything I Know About Quilting I Learned From My Cats."

That article had such a tremendous response, that the concept became a very special business.......

Deb's Cats N Quilts carries a variety of items including first quality fabrics such as, Moda, Marcus Brothers Civil War and 30's repro, Thimbleberries and more, sewing, quilting and cat themed gift items. We also carry vintage quilt tops and quilt blocks and occasionally have vintage toy sewing machines for sale. We have a variety of classes for the beginner to the advanced quilter and clubs including Thimbleberries Club 2008 ("Lakeside & Lodge"), Book Club , Strip Club, Civil War Club, Kid's Club, Year in a Snap Club, and 4-H Club.

We sell Janome Sewing machines.

Our winter weather policy at Deb's Cats N Quilts-

If Macon County Schools are closed because of winter weather- we probably are too. Call the shop to see if we are open. We want everyone to be able to get to class safely!

From Sylva: Take business 441 into Franklin. At the 6th traffic light turn L onto Porter St. At the next light turn R onto W. Palmer.

From Clayton GA: Stay on 441 (the GA Rd) into Franklin. When the road seems to fork, go left on Maple St. next to Resurrection Lutheran Church. At the next traffic light turn R onto W. Palmer St.
